Mariah Tortoiseshell has expressed his solidarity with Rihanna – the one who was struck by his ex-fiancé in last February – because she has been herself a victim of mental and emotional abuse.
In an interview during the television cycle Larry King Live, of the CCN, on having been consulted as it reacted to the news of Rihanna, Tortoiseshell, of 40 years, he answered:
“I was far when it began … I imagine therefore she happened.”
When King asked him if one day he had been a victim of abuse, Tortoiseshell – who married the 29-year-old singer Nick Cannon, last year – admitted there were painful episodes in a previous relation.
“Emotionally, mentally, in other forms … It Is frightening,” he declared. “I believe that you enter a situation and feel caught in her. If your situation is similar to one of those through that I have lived – in the one that you are isolated – for me, to go out completely, it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only matrimonial but also business, in that the person had the control of my life.”
In the interview, Tortoiseshell also threw for ground the rumors of which it is pregnant, affirming King, “It would be the happiest of my life, but for the time being with the movie“ Precious ”being released, working with the new singles of my album and other things, I need to focus in that, because I cannot have a son dedicating half a time.”
“He would never say anything like, ‘Oh, I am going to have a baby: brilliant! And after a babysitter manages to deliver it to him and to go away to work to the same rhythm. That does not work for me. I do not believe in that.”
